This morning, the guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel, and start this private journey from the magnificent Tiananmen Square, the largest urban square in the world.

You will see many buildings of great importance to Chinese people there, including Tiananmen Tower and Great Hall of the People.

Then the guide will lead you to walk through the square and the Tiananmen Tower to enter the worlds largest imperial palace complex, Forbidden City. It is divided into two parts, the Outer Court and the Inner Court.

The Outer Court served as a workplace for emperors to transact political affairs and the Inner Court was the living space for royal families.

★  Privileges of Our Guests:

1. We will ensure you 2 to 3 hoursvisit in the Forbidden City, long enough to cover all major palaces and royal courts. Also, coming here for over 100 times a year, the guide is quite familiar with the site and able to show you around along the best sightseeing route.

2. To save you time from waiting in a long queue on the spot, we will book entry tickets online in advance.

★  A La Carte Welcome Lunch to Taste Authentic Chinese Food and Peking Duck

It is our routine to arrange quality food for our guests. For todays lunch (valued at CNY150 per person and included in our price), you get to taste delicious Chinese food and crispy Roast Duck. Our guide will assist you in ordering the dishes after consulting your preference. Try to eat like a local with chopsticks! The Xihe Yaju Restaurant you will be served at is a traditional courtyard house, shaded by trees and oozing elegance. You will be fascinated from the moment you step in. On the table, dining sets are all in a court style decorated by traditional motifs with local features. Of course, the ingredients are fresh and healthy to ensure you a first-class dining experience.

In the afternoon, you will first visit the Yonghe Temple, initially a mansion for Emperor Yongzheng (1678 - 1735) when he was a prince and later used as a Tibetan Buddhist temple. Till today, it is still the most popular temple among pilgrims in Beijing.

Next, move on to the Temple of Heaven, a solemn place for emperors to worship the God of Heaven in ancient times. The most outstanding architecture inside is the Altar of Prayer for Good Harvests, a giant round building with three layers of eaves. It is also a landmark of Beijing appearing frequently on the media.

When todays sightseeing ends here, the guide and driver will transfer you back to the hotel

The highlight of this China tour package will come today as you will climb the amazing Mutianyu Great Wall. A round-way cable car ride will be arranged for you. The Great Wall is a priceless heritage left by the Chinese through the ages. Just when you stand on it and see its grandness, you will find it is no wonder that the Great Wall has had the mystique to surprise the whole world. Enjoy your leisure time on it and view the surrounding mountain scenery.

Lunch is on your own and our guide will gladly assist. Then, go back to downtown area to continue todays visit. On the way back, while passing by the Bird's Nest, also called the Olympic National Stadium, we will make a stopover for you to take pictures of this huge nest.

Today's last stop will be Shichahai, a historical area by lakeside gathering many Hutong alleys and traditional folk yards - Siheyuan. Rickshaw was a popular transport tool from late 19th century to early 20th century in Beijing and even the whole China. It will be quite interesting to travel among the crisscrossing Hutongs on it as old Beijingers did. The rickshaw ride will last for about 40 minutes. Following it, a visit to a local family living in a traditional courtyard house there will help you know more about localslife.

Finally, we will transfer you back to the hotel. Shichahai also gathers many bars and pubs where you can spend a colorful night. If you are interested, you may continue to explore it and then get back to hotel by taxi.

In the afternoon, you will take a high-speed train to Xian. Our local guide and driver will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel.

Experience the High Speed Train of China

High speed train has been a name card of China and a must-do for travelers to the country. As an expert in operating China tours, we will for sure take it into consideration for our guests. The ride between Beijing and Xian is a good one, neither too long nor too short. Usually, the travel time is around 5.5 hours while a few takes only 4.5 hours. We will try our best to book those taking around 4.5 hours to save you time.

This whole morning will be spent visiting the Terracotta Army Museum, a huge underground army stationed in the burial pits of Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 BC- 210 BC)'s mausoleum. Thousands of terracotta warriors await your examination, all vividly sculpted during the emperor’s reign of the Qin Empire. According to statistics, the shortest of these unearthed terracotta figures is 173 cm (5 feet 8 in), while the tallest reaches a staggering 196 cm (6 feet 5 in) - a curious find because it makes us wonder: are ancient Chinese really so tall? Actually, it may be that only those tall enough could be selected as the emperor’s honor guards; the hair buns and the base under their feet also contribute to their great heights. Apart from visiting the burial pits, our guide will also take you to explore the lately-opened exhibition hall for the most precious archaeological excavations from the mausoleum, some having never been put on a display. Bronze waterfowls, little gold and silver sculptures, a stone dice, and especially the coloring on potteries are all among the wonders, more than two hundreds in total. They are divided into eight themes to tell you about the Qin-era art, society, philosophies, as well as Qin Shi Huang’s life - the most mysterious would be the one that allows you to imagine the emperor’s grand underground palace, which remains some thirty meters below untouched.

Today’s lunch is by your own arrangement, but the guide will recommend restaurants around the site according to your preference.

★ Privileges of Our Guests:

1. Visit the Home of Terracotta Army’s Discoverer

After lunch, we will uniquely arrange a visit to the home of Mr. Yang Zhifa, who discovered the terracotta army when digging a well in 1974. It will be a precious chance to learn the legendary discovery of this manmade wonder from him and take a picture with him. At the home, you can also see the replica of the first discovered terracotta warrior and the hoe used to dig the statue out.

2. Interesting DIY of a Mini Terracotta Warrior

For a visit to the Terracotta Army, there is no better souvenir than a self-made terracotta figure. In a local workshop, you can opt to make a mini terracotta general, soldier, or others measuring about 10 cm (4 in) high. Don’t worry. An artisan will teach you how to make it step by step and there is also a mold to assist you. You can carve your name or special logo on your artwork, just like the Qin Dynasty artisans did on their warriors.

Later, get back to the city and visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, built in the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) for Monk Xuan Zang to store and translate Buddhism scripts brought back from India. It is right in the Grand Ci’en Temple built by Emperor Tang Gaozong for his dead mother, Empress Zhangsun. The pagoda has a total of seven floors, each storing precious cultural relics, including two Buddhist sariras presented by Indian monks in 1998. Then, follow the guide all the way south to Great Tang All Day Mall, a replica of a prosperous block of the Tang Dynasty. At last, the guide and driver will transfer you back to the hotel. If you prefer to appreciate the night views and interesting performances in the Great Tang All Day Mall, you may stay longer and the guide will kindly tell you how to go back to hotel on your own.

► Dinner Suggestion (at your own expense):

If you are searching for a place to try authentic local specialties, don’t miss the brand Zhangji Chinese Hamburger on Ziwu Road. It arguably enjoys the greatest popularity among its kind, just as how Quanjude Roast Duck dwarfs all other rivals in Beijing. There are numerous Chinese Hamburger providers in Xi’an, but what makes Zhangji stand out is its unique mouthfeel. You will bite into crispy baked bun to discover gravy-heavy chopped pork inside, flavorful and succulent. The point is, it never gets greasy, which is a standard to set apart good from mediocre. 30 yuan/4 bucks with Cold Noodles to be the icing on the cake is enough to have yourself satiated. While waiting to be served, you can also take a look at how Chinese Hamburger is made. You can find a branch restaurant on Cuihua Road, just 10-minute drive from your hotel.

This morning, we will first visit the City Wall Park, a gathering place for the locals, especially elders to do morning exercises and have fun. You will find the life of the elderly in China is rich and colorful: dancing, singing, playing Tai Chi, playing Chinese yo-yo, cracking a whip... If you want, you can join in them to practice Tai Chi or other recreational activities.

Then follow the guide to ascend the time-honored City Wall, which was used to defend the city from attacks. Standing on the wall, you will see two different Xi’an: the ancient one full of historical architecture inside the wall and the modern one boasting high buildings outside. Cycling on the City Wall is a very popular activity. If interested, inform the guide your preference and pay the rental fee on the spot to have fun.

Next, visit the Great Mosque, a remarkable Islamic cultural relic, which perfectly combines Chinese traditional and Islamic architectural styles. Around the mosque is the lively Muslim Quarter, boasting of delicious snacks and featured handicrafts.

► Indulge Yourself in Many Varieties of Xi’an Snacks

Xi’an is famous for not only abundant historical remains, but also various snacks. For every tourist to the city, it will be a pity not to taste them. Today, we will serve you authentic local snacks at a featured restaurant in Muslim Quarter, a paradise for foodies. You may choose whatever you like, including hot oil noodles, Chinese hamburgers, fried dumplings, crumbled flatbread in mutton stew, glutinous rice with jujube, and even see how they will be made through the visible glass window.

Afterwards, you will be taken to the airport for flight to Shanghai. Our local guide and driver will greet you upon your landing and accompany you to check in at the hotel.

In the morning, our guide will escort you to visit Shanghai Museum and scenic Yu Garden. The Shanghai Museum is one of the four most famous museums in China, holding a rich and high-quality collection of ancient precious works of art. Yu Garden is a famous classic garden in south China. The beautiful scenery and quiet atmosphere make it rare in the bustling city. After, wander through the lively bazaar just outside the garden.

At noon, you will enjoy an a la carte farewell lunch (valued at CNY150 per person and included in our price) at a fancy and famous local restaurant, mainly serving true Shanghai and Cantonese cuisines.

After lunch, the guide will escort you to enjoy a one-hour cruise on Huangpu River to appreciate the two representative profiles of the city on both banks. It helps you understand the past, see the present and look into the future of this modern city. Then, explore the Bund and see the cluster of western style buildings at a close range. Free time will be left for you there to have a leisurely stroll and take nice photos. The last stop today is an old block named Tianzifang, where is full of senses of culture and art.

► Dinner Suggestion (at your own expense):

Go for a 20 minutes’ taxi ride to Yang’s Pan-fried Pork Buns Restaurant to try their flagship dish, pan-fried pork buns. Dating back 30 years, pan-fried pork bun is the most quintessential snack of Shanghai that embodies local culinary traditions, and the restaurant we recommend is where you can find the best. Here, the buns offered have thinner wrappers to give space for more filling, which is rich in gravy. Try the originally-flavored, and bite while they are still warm for richer textures. Soups and other side dishes are also offered and the prices are all wallet-friendly!

For our 25th anniversary, my wife and I booked this Sichuan loop. Our guide Wang picked us up with hot tea, small start to a big adventure. Wolong's pandas were incredible, but the real magic began climbing toward Mount Siguniang. Snow peaks, empty valleys, Wang knowing every photo spot. At 4,700 meters near Litang, my wife felt dizzy. Wang had oxygen ready, made us rest. "No rush," he said. Twenty minutes later, we were walking among yaks on the roof of the world. Yading was worth every bumpy mile. Three holy mountains, turquoise lakes, prayer flags in the wind. Eight days, four thousand meters, one unforgettable anniversary.

I booked this 10-day trip for my parents' 30th anniversary. Dad's 62, mom's not a strong traveler, I was nervous. But Wandrift made everything smooth. our guide Tenzin met us at Lijiang airport with a warm smile and white hada scarves. First few days were gentle wandering Old Town, watching Naxi musicians perform. Mom loved the slow pace. Then came the drive to Shangri-La. Winding ountain roads. Mom started looking pale halfway through. Tenzin noticed immediately. He had the driver pull over at a scenic spot, gave mom some local herbal balm, and let her rest for 20 minutes. "No rush," he said. "The mountains will wait." That small kindness changed everything. We made it to Shangri-La. Mom recovered at the hotel while Tenzin took dad and me to visit a local family. Drank butter tea, learned about their daily life. Next day at Songzanlin Monastery, mom was back to her usual self, snapping photos and asking questions. Other highlights: hiking through Pudacuo's meadows, spotting yaks for the first time, the prayer flags fluttering in the wind. But what I'll remember most is that moment on the mountain road~a guide who cared more about my mom's comfort than keeping schedule. For anyone traveling with older parents in Yunnan, this tour is it.

My friend and I booked this 5days trip for a quick getaway. Zhangjiajie's sandstone pillars looked like something from another planet. Our guide Liu timed the Bailong Elevator perfectly, no lines, just mist rising around us like entering Pandora. At Tianmen Mountain, I froze at the glass walkway. My friend had to drag me across while Liu pretended not to watch. Furong Ancient Town surprised us. The waterfall flowing right through town at night, lights reflecting on water, we just sat there with noodles, saying nothing. Fenghuang felt like stepping back in time. Liu arranged a boat ride at dusk. Our rower sang local songs, lights coming on along the stilted houses. Magic. For a short China trip hitting big sights, this works perfectly.

This hotel was such a nice upgrade on my trip through Xinjiang, Gansu and Ningxia. I was really surprised—China’s desert hotels are just as good as the ones in Morocco!Too bad we only had 2 days in Ningxia. The place is super nice, and all three of us were blown away. They have stargazing sessions and sand dune activities too.And the price here is even cheaper than on Ctrip. I totally recommend it!

As retirees living in Thailand, we usually prefer slower travel, but this 8-day Chengdu, Chongqing, and Zhangjiajie tour struck the perfect balance. Watching giant pandas at their morning feeding at the world’s largest breeding base was pure magic. Our guide, Helen, knew exactly when to arrive to avoid the crowds, her attention to detail was impeccable throughout. In Chongqing, Helen helped us navigate the dizzying levels of Hongya Cave at dusk; watching it transform into a real-life Spirited Away scene along the Jialing River was unforgettable. She even taught us to use Alipay and DiDi=we felt like locals! The Wulong karst bridges left us speechless. But Zhangjiajie? Surreal. Riding the world's tallest outdoor elevator up into those misty quartz peaks felt like entering Pandora. Helen arranged a morning hike along Gold Whip Streat, just us, bird songs, and towering cliffs. Between cities, we experienced China's high speed rail, smooth, punctual, and hitting 300 km each hours. We also tried food delivery apps and bike-sharing with Helen's guidance. Four modern technologies, one exceptional guide. Deeply grateful.

we booked this 11-day trip for our first China visit. From Beijing's grandeur to Shanghai's skyline, every stop impressed. In Beijing, our guide Lucy took us to the Great Wall early, just us and misty mountains. She knew exactly where to stand for photos without crowds. The Forbidden City felt endless in the best way. Xi'an's Terracotta Warriors left us speechless. Lisa arranged a warrior-making workshop where we both failed hilariously at clay molding. That lopsided soldier now sits on our shelf. zhangjiawei stunned us most. Glass bridge had my husband gripping the railing while I laughed. Our guide Michael noticed my fear of heights and quietly suggested the forest path instead, shanghai's Huangpu cruise at night was pure magic. Different cities, different guides, all wonderful. For couples wanting hassle-free China, this tour delivers.
