Ready to go with us to explore the brilliant pearls inlaid in the land of Zhangjiajie? In the morning, your experienced private guide and driver will pick you up from your own-booked hotel in downtown Zhangjiajie or near the East Gate of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Wulingyuan District, and then escort you to the Forest Park for a full-day exploration. ► Know before You Go:

1. It is recommended that you wear a pair of comfortable sports shoes, as Zhangjiajie’s scenic areas are so large that you still have to walk a lot in addition to making most of the cable car, escalator, and shuttle bus inside.

2. It’s better to take an extra windproof overcoat to keep warm while enjoying the beauties in Zhangjiajie’s mountainous area with a big difference in temperature between the top and the bottom of the mountains.

3. Be sure to wear enough sunscreen cream or carry a parasol with you to protect your skin from strong UV rays.

After entry, our first destination will be the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, which needs to be reached by Bailong Elevator, the world’s highest fully exposed double-decker outdoor sightseeing lift. During the 88-second climb, a fascinating painting of natural scenery with verdant mountains, grotesque peaks, and distant clouds and mists will slowly unfold in front of your eyes. When you get to the summit, you’ll be overwhelmed by mesmerizing views, especially the Hallelujah Mountain featured in the movie ‘Avatar’. The towering stone pillar rises straight into the sky, with all steep sides covered with dense vegetation, and being here would make you feel like you have entered planet Pandora. The No. 1 Bridge under Heaven and Enchanting Platform built by nature itself also await you here. 

Lunch is not included. It is suggested that you have an abundant breakfast in your hotel and pack some high-energy snacks like sandwiches and biscuits for yourself. You can find the fast-food chain Dicos in Yuanjiajie Scenic Area and a McDonald's in Tianzi Mountain, where you can get some simple food when there is no long queue.

Then, let’s take a shuttle bus of the park to the Yangjiajie Scenic Area, famous for its Natural Great Wall. When you stand on the viewing platform and look into the distance, the dozens of stone walls, closely arranged by hundreds of vertical stone pillars, are faintly visible in the misty clouds, presenting a magnificent momentum. Afterward, hop in the shuttle bus again to get to the Tianzi Mountain, which is known as “an enlarged bonsai, a minified fairyland”. It was so named in honor of an ancient Tujia leader, Xiang Dakun, who once led an uprising for a better life for the locals here and claimed himself to be ‘Tianzi’ (literally means king) in this area. With many types of rare plants and protected animals, it is a paradise for nature lovers to explore. Descend the mountain by cable car, and then let’s take a sightseeing train through the Ten-mile Gallery to leisurely enjoy varied-shaped stones along the picturesque valley. One of the most famous sights is the Old Man Collecting Medicine, which is shaped like a thin figure with a silk cloth wrapped around his head, stooping forward with a bamboo basket on his back. Finally, your guide and the driver will convoy you back to your hotel.

This morning, your guide and driver will greet you in your hotel lobby, and escort you on a private car ride to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Admiring the beautiful scenery while entering the canyon, let’s head straight to the world’s longest and highest Glass Bridge spanning between canyons, and embark on a ‘cloud journey’ that tests both your courage and mental summit. As you step onto the transparent bridge, you’ll find that deep beneath your feet lies a meandering emerald lake, sandwiched between the cliffs covered with thick woods, which is a strong visual impact that takes your breath away. If you are a little afraid of heights, walk slowly along the opaque areas on both sides and hold onto the railing to take in its splendid panoramic view.

In the afternoon, the guide will accompany you to Tianmen Mountain, another natural wonder that makes Zhangjiajie world-famous. To save you more time and effort for sightseeing on this highest mountain in Zhangjiajie, we will provide you with a round-trip cable car to and from the halfway up the mountain, where you’ll admire the spectacular Tianmen Cave (Heaven's Gate), the essence of the mountain that brought attention from all over the world. Surprisingly, so far, quite a few international extreme sports masters have carried out exciting challenges, such as long-distance high-altitude tightrope walking, aerobatics, and wingsuit flying, through the cave. Also, the 7-level transmountain escalator will shuttle you back and forth between the Tianmen Cave and the summit. When touring on the mountaintop, we won’t let you miss testing your mettle on the cliffside Glass Skywalk. Every step on it will be accompanied by the thrill of a rapid heartbeat and soaring blood pressure. And surrounded by clouds and mist, you’ll feel like you are in a wonderland.

Completing the 2 days best Zhangjiajie tour, your guide will escort you back to your hotel. We strongly advise you to stay in Zhangjiajie tonight instead of leaving immediately after the tour.
