n Farmers' Market
Going shopping in the farmers' market is one of the main parts of local people's daily life. In farmers' market, you will see rows of stalls where the residences buy vegetables, meat, fruits, aquatic products, grain and oil, condiments, local specialties and so on. The goods there are fresh, the variety is numerous and the quality can be guaranteed. Usually, the price is lower than that in the large supermarkets.
n Wonton
Wonton is somehow like dumpling, also made of flour wrapper with fillings. But the wrapper is thinner and in square shape with a length of about 6 centimeters (2.3 inches) or isosceles trapezoid. The most basic fillings are pork and scallion. In recent decades, the fillings become more abundant which cover various pickles, fresh meat and vegetables and some dry goods like beacon, beef, snow peas, hami melon, mushroom, salted fish and dried radish. To make wonton remain intact after being boiled, most filling needs to be chopped except fresh shrimps. As for the appearance, some look like a shoe-shaped gold ingot, some like a pillow and some like a canopy. After being cooked, the wrapper almost turns to be transparent. In general, it is served with soup. And the soup is very important for wonton which would influence its taste directly and obviously. Usually, the soup consists of nori, scallion, dried small shrimps, sesame oil, coriander and other condiments.
