Day 1: Arrival, Guilin

Your exploration of Chinese ethnic groups will start in Guilin, a world-famous gateway to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

If time permits, we warmly invite you to visit Odynovo's headquarters for a behind-the-scenes look at how your custom journey is brought to life. Meet your dedicated travel consultant in person, learn about their work environment, and discover the passionate team that collaborates closely to ensure every detail of your trip is just right.

Day 2: Guilin - Yangshuo(B/L)
Catering

This morning, take an enjoyable cruise along the Li River down to Yangshuo with lunch on board. Get ready to immerse yourself in a Chinese landscape painting that comes alive as the boat sails along the jade waters with the verdant hills in different shapes dotted on the bamboo-lined banks.

Disembark after about four hours. As you take a break at your hotel and get recharged, follow your guide cycling through the idyllic countryside of Yangshuo. You'll get a close experience of the local life when passing through the ancient villages surrounded by rice paddies, and appreciate the breathtaking landscapes of green karst hills and rivers all along the way.

Day 3:Yangshuo - Guilin - Congjiang - Zhaoxing(B/L)
Catering

Get back to Guilin railway station for a bullet train to Congjiang. Then, take a private transfer to Zhaoxing Dong Village. Famed as "the village of drum towers", it's home to over 1,000 Dong families with a population of 6,000. Rambling around the village, you'll admire their unique architecture, like stilt wooden houses called "Diaojiaolou" and stunning multi-story drum tower - the symbol of a Dong village. If lucky, you can even meet some villagers dressed in their national costumes gathering in the drum tower to practice singing and dancing.

Day 4:Zhaoxing(B/L)
Catering

To explore this region further and gain more insight into local ethnic groups, you'll tour several other villages in Zhaoxing. One is Basha Miao Village, "the Last Tribe of Gunmen in China" where the men have kept the custom of tying their hair in braids for centuries. Move on to Zhanli Dong Village to explore its unique marriage customs and magic fertility rule of having only one boy and one girl. After touring Xiaohuang Dong Village, the home of Dong songs, end the day at the original Huanggang Dong Village to experience the most primitive Dong customs.

Day 5:Zhaoxing - Congjiang - Guiyang(B/L)
Catering

Apart from the colorful ethnic groups, this mountain area is famous for its vast terraced fields. Waking up early for a moderate hike to Tang'an Village in two to three hours, you'll be treated to the painting-like terrace landscape along the way. After the tour, move on to Congjiang railway station for a high-speed train to Guiyang. Once you arrive, go to your hotel for some rest.

Day 6:Guiyang - Anshun - Guiyang(B/L)
Catering

Only about 1.5 hours from Guiyang, lies Tianlong Tunbao Ancient Town, where a branch of Han people kept their traditional dress and custom for over 600 years and formed the unique Tunbao culture. Here you can stroll around, enjoy their well-kept traditional stone houses, and get a glimpse of life 600 years ago.

In the afternoon, continue your journey to Huangguoshu Waterfall, one of Asia's largest waterfalls, renowned for its thundering cascades and breathtaking natural surroundings. Walk along the well-maintained trails to admire the waterfall from multiple viewpoints, including the famous Water Curtain Cave, where you can experience the roar of the water from behind the fall itself.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon with rich memories of Guizhou's stunning landscapes and cultural heritage.

Day 7:Guiyang - Dali(B/L)
Catering

Leave Guiyang behind for Dali by high-speed train. Arrive about 4.5 hours later and then take a private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax in the hotel or go out for a quick tour around the hotel.

Day 8: Dali - Xizhou Town - Dali(B/L)
Catering

Located at the foot of Mt. Cangshan near the ear-shaped Erhai Lake, the quiet Xizhou town in the north part of Dali is famous for its Bai ethnic culture. You'll stroll around the morning market to experience the daily life of the Bai people, and visit an old house of a distinguished family to enjoy typical Bai residential buildings with exquisite wood carving decorations.

After that, ride an hour's horse carriage to Haishe Wetland Park and then take a leisure stroll around the park to soak up the natural beauty of Erhai Lake and the surrounding countryside. A cruise on the lake is a great way to round off the fun day in Dali.

Day 9: Dali - Shaxi Old Town - Lijiang(B/L)
Catering

Drive about 4 hours to Lijiang, another popular city in Yunnan. Shaxi Old Town, located between Dali and Lijiang, is a great place to take a break. It was once an important stop on the ancient Tea Horse Road with a history of more than 2,400 years. Although the prosperity of Shaxi has faded, you can still feel its past through the ancient temples, theaters, horse shops, red sandstone streets and alleyways.

Day 10:Lijiang(B/L)
Catering

Greet the day with a stroll around the old town of Lijiang to enjoy its leisurely lifestyle. Follow your guide passing through the maze of cobbled pedestrian streets to visit the Mufu Palace, once the home of the chieftain family of Lijiang in ancient times rebuilt in the style of the Forbidden City. After leaving the palace, you'll climb up to the top of Lion Hill for a panoramic view of the whole town. Enjoy an interesting Naxi ancient music performance and then end the day at the Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture.

Day 11:Lijiang - Lhasa(B/L)
Catering

Fly to Lhasa, the center of Tibetan culture, located at an altitude of 3,656 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, meet with your Tibetan guide, who will escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day is recommended to relax in the hotel to adapt to the high altitude.

Day 12:Lhasa(B/L)
Catering

The ethnic Tibetan people mainly believe in Tibetan Buddhism, giving the city a strong religious atmosphere. Today you'll check out the major landmarks in the city to touch on Tibetan culture and history. At the Potala Palace, the traditional residence of the Dalai Lama in a distinct Tibetan style, you'll appreciate many rare cultural relics, including the gold hand-written Buddhist scriptures. While in the most sacred Jokhang Temple in Barkhor Square, you can meet many pilgrims to worship and circumambulate around. Finally, visit the Sera Monastery to see Lamas in red robes debate all aspects of Tibetan Buddhism with exaggerated gestures.

Day 13:Lhasa - Shigatse(B)
Catering

About a 2.5-hour drive from Lhasa lies the Yamdrok, one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet. Driving along the winding mountain road, the subtle-changed color of the lake, along with the surrounding snow-capped mountains, will take your breath away. After that, continue to Shigatse with a view of Karuola Glacier on the way.

Day 14: Shigatse - Lhasa(B)
Catering

Visit the magnificent Tashilhunpo Monastery in the morning. In the assembly hall, you'll find a giant statue of the future Buddha with a height of 26.2 meters and decorated with a great number of precious things like pearls. Outside, there is a bustling free market, a great place to find some traditional handicrafts as souvenirs. After that, drive back to Lhasa fro about seven hours.

Day 15: Lhasa, Departure

Your exploration of Chinese ethnic groups comes to an end today. Bid farewell to your local guide and get to the airport for your homebound flight.

The car is brand new. V rented it for two days: one day for a 10-hour tour in Hong Kong, and one day to take us to Shenzhen to visit and then return us to Hong Kong later that evening. NOT BAD.

For our 25th anniversary, my wife and I booked this Sichuan loop. Our guide Wang picked us up with hot tea, small start to a big adventure. Wolong's pandas were incredible, but the real magic began climbing toward Mount Siguniang. Snow peaks, empty valleys, Wang knowing every photo spot. At 4,700 meters near Litang, my wife felt dizzy. Wang had oxygen ready, made us rest. "No rush," he said. Twenty minutes later, we were walking among yaks on the roof of the world. Yading was worth every bumpy mile. Three holy mountains, turquoise lakes, prayer flags in the wind. Eight days, four thousand meters, one unforgettable anniversary.

I booked this 10-day trip for my parents' 30th anniversary. Dad's 62, mom's not a strong traveler, I was nervous. But Wandrift made everything smooth. our guide Tenzin met us at Lijiang airport with a warm smile and white hada scarves. First few days were gentle wandering Old Town, watching Naxi musicians perform. Mom loved the slow pace. Then came the drive to Shangri-La. Winding ountain roads. Mom started looking pale halfway through. Tenzin noticed immediately. He had the driver pull over at a scenic spot, gave mom some local herbal balm, and let her rest for 20 minutes. "No rush," he said. "The mountains will wait." That small kindness changed everything. We made it to Shangri-La. Mom recovered at the hotel while Tenzin took dad and me to visit a local family. Drank butter tea, learned about their daily life. Next day at Songzanlin Monastery, mom was back to her usual self, snapping photos and asking questions. Other highlights: hiking through Pudacuo's meadows, spotting yaks for the first time, the prayer flags fluttering in the wind. But what I'll remember most is that moment on the mountain road~a guide who cared more about my mom's comfort than keeping schedule. For anyone traveling with older parents in Yunnan, this tour is it.

My friend and I booked this 5days trip for a quick getaway. Zhangjiajie's sandstone pillars looked like something from another planet. Our guide Liu timed the Bailong Elevator perfectly, no lines, just mist rising around us like entering Pandora. At Tianmen Mountain, I froze at the glass walkway. My friend had to drag me across while Liu pretended not to watch. Furong Ancient Town surprised us. The waterfall flowing right through town at night, lights reflecting on water, we just sat there with noodles, saying nothing. Fenghuang felt like stepping back in time. Liu arranged a boat ride at dusk. Our rower sang local songs, lights coming on along the stilted houses. Magic. For a short China trip hitting big sights, this works perfectly.

This hotel was such a nice upgrade on my trip through Xinjiang, Gansu and Ningxia. I was really surprised—China’s desert hotels are just as good as the ones in Morocco!Too bad we only had 2 days in Ningxia. The place is super nice, and all three of us were blown away. They have stargazing sessions and sand dune activities too.And the price here is even cheaper than on Ctrip. I totally recommend it!

As retirees living in Thailand, we usually prefer slower travel, but this 8-day Chengdu, Chongqing, and Zhangjiajie tour struck the perfect balance. Watching giant pandas at their morning feeding at the world’s largest breeding base was pure magic. Our guide, Helen, knew exactly when to arrive to avoid the crowds, her attention to detail was impeccable throughout. In Chongqing, Helen helped us navigate the dizzying levels of Hongya Cave at dusk; watching it transform into a real-life Spirited Away scene along the Jialing River was unforgettable. She even taught us to use Alipay and DiDi=we felt like locals! The Wulong karst bridges left us speechless. But Zhangjiajie? Surreal. Riding the world's tallest outdoor elevator up into those misty quartz peaks felt like entering Pandora. Helen arranged a morning hike along Gold Whip Streat, just us, bird songs, and towering cliffs. Between cities, we experienced China's high speed rail, smooth, punctual, and hitting 300 km each hours. We also tried food delivery apps and bike-sharing with Helen's guidance. Four modern technologies, one exceptional guide. Deeply grateful.

we booked this 11-day trip for our first China visit. From Beijing's grandeur to Shanghai's skyline, every stop impressed. In Beijing, our guide Lucy took us to the Great Wall early, just us and misty mountains. She knew exactly where to stand for photos without crowds. The Forbidden City felt endless in the best way. Xi'an's Terracotta Warriors left us speechless. Lisa arranged a warrior-making workshop where we both failed hilariously at clay molding. That lopsided soldier now sits on our shelf. zhangjiawei stunned us most. Glass bridge had my husband gripping the railing while I laughed. Our guide Michael noticed my fear of heights and quietly suggested the forest path instead, shanghai's Huangpu cruise at night was pure magic. Different cities, different guides, all wonderful. For couples wanting hassle-free China, this tour delivers.
