In the morning, your professional guide and driver will pick you up from your own booked hotel in Shangri-La and then drive you for around 4 hours to the Xidang Village, where you will change to a local SUV to drive into the Yubeng Village. Please kindly note that each person is limited to one piece of luggage. Along the way, you will pass through a vast expanse of virgin forest and the view will definitely not disappoint you. Upon arrival, your guide will help you check into a local hotel and the rest of the day will be free for you to get ready for the following three days' hiking journey.

The Sacred Waterfall, formed by the meltwater of the Meili Snow Mountain, is regarded as the holy water by the pilgrims. Today, you will follow your guide to hike to the waterfall. It's not very far, around 12 kilometers (7.46 miles) back and forth, which takes around 5-6 hours. Except for the last part, which is a little difficult, the rest of the journey is easy.

Tibetans regard bathing under the waterfall as a spiritual cleansing exercise. As a visitor, you can follow the Tibetan tradition to walk around the waterfall three times clockwise to pray for good luck.

The Glacial Lake, 3,800 meters (12,467 feet) high above sea level, is green like a piece of jade, holy and quiet. Today, you will hike for around 21 kilometers (13.05 miles), about 8-9 hours in total under the company of your guide. It's farther and more difficult than yesterday's hiking, so please assign your strength nationally for the whole journey.

The Ninong Grand Canyon belongs to the hot-dry valley, which has a totally different scenery compared with that in the Yubeng village. The temperature here is high, so you will not feel cold even in winter. The hiking today is relatively relaxing, with most road level or downhill, but you need also pay attention to the safety as most of the road is only about 1 meter (39.37 inches) wide. After hiking for around 3.5 hours, you will arrive at the Ninong village and then be driven back to Shangri-La for around 3-4 hours. Your wonderful Shangri-La hiking tour will come to an end here.

 Our Friendly Tips for the Hiking Tour
• Hiking shoes and trekking poles 
As you need to hike for 8-9 hours a day when to the Glacial Lake, a comfortable pair of hiking shoes and a trekking pole are very necessary. If possible, you can also prepare for the knee pads.

• Windproof warm coat 
As it's very cold in the mountains, you're suggested to prepare a windproof warm coat. However, please remember not to take off your clothes when stopping for a rest, otherwise you will catch a cold easily.

• Sunscreen products
The climate of Shangri-La is dry and the ultraviolet radiation is strong, so you're suggested to prepare the sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses in advance. 

• High calorie snacks
Since hiking requires a lot of energy, it is recommended that you bring some high-calorie snacks, such as chocolate, beef jerky or cookies. However, as there are rest stations along the way and in order to reduce the weight, you're suggested not to take too much.
